Date: 8/2/12 7:54 AM Hi Sherry! I can't believe someone is reaching out to "connect"! I've tried several times to connect with "local" sewists, but have been totally unsuccessful! I live in Bellingham -- right on the RI border. Email me, maybe we can meet up for coffee half-way and chat about sewing! |

Date: 8/2/12 8:38 AM Hi Baychel3!
That would be a great idea! I looked up on Map Quest and see that halfway is only a 20-something minute drive for each of us!
I am a stay-at-home Mom and my DH works retail hours so day time during the week is best for me, but Saturday anytime works too.
My son is 13 so he is old enough to be home alone for a few hours.
I am also fairly new to MA, we moved here a year ago and I haven't really reached out to meet many new people, especially those who are interested in sewing.
I have been sewing on and off since I was a teen and mostly I love to make costumes. Currently I have some paid work making costumes for an entertainment company. It's great to work at home doing something I love!
Tell me a bit about yourself!

Date: 8/3/12 10:03 AM WOW! This made my day!
I would love to meet you all....let's see if we can find a common day/time during the week of Aug 14th. My son will be at sleep away camp that week so I'm free as a bird!! DH works retail hours so we don't live a 9 to 5 life....not at all!
Gee, I'm not sounding toooo desperate to find people with common interests....LOL!
Marie - where in Sterling are you? I am near Barber's Crossing on RTE 12!

Date: 8/4/12 12:50 PM Sounds like fun! I'd love to meet up w/all of you! I'm a senior, and still working full time (just got back to work after 14 months of blissful unemployment.) Saturdays and/or Sundays would work best for me. However, I have no family obligations so if you decide on a date/time, let me know and I'll do my best to be there!! |

Date: 8/5/12 11:32 AM My August is filling up as well so it seem that a Sept date would work best. How about Sept 9th, Sunday or Sept 15th, Saturday? We can find a place to grab a cup of coffee and chat a while. |
