I know I saw somewhere a big wooden scissors which you can hang on the wall. Or did I dream it?
Do you have any ideas on how to decorate the walls? Any sewing/fashion related art would be cool. DIY suggestions are welcome too. ------ - Deepika

Date: 8/2/12 4:21 PM I have a large Dresden quilt on one of my walls along with hand cross stitched Amish items. I made a couple of sewing related embroideries that need borders and quilted before I hang them up.

Date: 8/2/12 4:46 PM I've seen those ribbon racks at Michaels in the scrapbook storage area -- they work really well. My daughter has a couple of them in her scrapbook studio and she absolutely loves them.
Good luck on decorating your sewing space.

Date: 8/2/12 5:51 PM It looks like the picture shows a workspace whose owner is a frequent flyer at Ikea :)
How about this rack ? ------ Brother SE400 & 3034D, it's a start :)

Date: 8/2/12 6:54 PM I have a cute, small, quilt that I found at a thrift shop that is an image of a sewing machine; I'll take a pic and post it. I've always thought it would be easy to do. It's on the wall in my sewing room. ------ Viking Lily 545

Date: 8/2/12 6:58 PM I googled "sewing machine decor", and this came up... etsy; some cute ideas
This was a result from a search for "sewing decor"; I like this quite a bit. Costco can print such things on canvas ready to hang.... Subway art

Date: 8/3/12 10:03 AM Oh thank you thank you for the link for scissors. I am getting it this week!
So far I have the following
1. Find the larger ribbon rack in a store or buy from etsy
2. Find the wire dressforms
3. Buy the scissor hooks from Joann
4. Make the Buttons from Cheese board or buy a couple of large buttons from Joann.
5. Install a 9 cube cubby on one of the walls for miniatures
6. Find the wooden CREATE sign on etsy or somewhere else.
7. A couple of wall art pieces.
8. Do something with the boring staples cork board to make into an inspiration board. ------ - Deepika
