Date: 8/7/12 11:52 AM I just received an email announcing the newest addition to the ambition line. Has anyone heard any details about this machine? Just curious...

Date: 8/7/12 3:45 PM Oh this one is going to be even more affordable than the other two...appears to have fewer stitches. I have a feeling...just a guess...that this one will replace the select 4...probably will have just one mechanical machine vs 3 that they have now. It looks like a real winner. Before it was hard to get IDT in anything but a pricey, fully loaded model OR you go to the mechanical selects with not many decorative stitches..which is fine...but for $500-ish, you like a few. I bet this one will be in the $600-ish range and it has a lot more to offer. |

Date: 8/7/12 4:20 PM It doesn't look like it has built in scissors to cut the stitch though, and I really would like to have that in any machine. I also wonder how much this one will weigh. I've kind of wanted a machine to take to classes that isn't so heavy.
It is a pretty machine for sure. |

Date: 8/7/12 4:42 PM To me it looks like it has 99 stitches + alphanumaric.
When I was making a streatch drag outfit last friday on my SS machine i sure was missing the streatch stitch ... LOL ..
All night long that dress was making threats to come right off my body! Threads were snapping all night.
HA - Im thinking about that new singer with thread snips, though -- for like 399. and just using the SS machine for everything else ... I keep thuinking that I should add to my Ambition review that i think the machine is like THE machine for garment makers ... I dont know if I think it had the POWER to quilt the way I need to quilt .. but, I am not every quilter -- so ... I dont want to really say that.
I notice they also dont have as many lights on this new model. No light in the center of the bed.

I'll be interested to check this one out at my dealer when it arrives. ------ Olivia, my Pfurple Pfaff Creative Performance
