Morley, I live in the U.S. and hadn't really seen these until I got on PR. But I'm not on Facebook, don't Tweet on Twitter and bravely spell out words when I send messages.

I've become somewhat fond of the acronyms and have come up with two more to add to the list.

RMIL, room mate in law, what you call your future DIL while you wait for her to explain to her dad that she is your son's room mate.

There is ROTFLOL. I was so entranced with that one that when something really funny came up this one came to mind: ROTFLOLTNTPIMP. Can you figure it out?

7Year, in my neck of the woods the RMIL part gets ignored.

It's like Neal: I call him my DH on here, since it's a lot easier to explain why I live with a guy I'm not married to, don't have any real motivation to marry, but have a child with and great relationship and commitment to. I am anti marriage due to a past abusive situation for me. Not that it won't eventually happen to, but I am in no hurry to make a change here.

And my Dad knows, at least. My parents aren't the ones that complain.

Sew Ducky, trust me, after all the years of waiting for a DIL I wouldn't be complaining to have you in the family any way that made you comfortable. Thats why I started calling her RMIL between my husband, myself and PR. I was ready to have her on board as family. Perhaps I was impatient while waiting for them to see that their relationship was deeper than they realized.

If you were part of my family and I was not calling you DIL (with or without a certificate) I might perhaps think of you as One-Who-Captured-My-Son's-Heart-And-Loved-Him-Enough-To-Give-Him-A-Family. Then again, it might be easier to just call you SD (Sew Ducky)

Quick answer - Ready To Wear and not Return To Work..

There are many sites, like PR and this this one.

However, I prefer a book as a quick reference or for leisurely reading. The newest edition of Reader's Digest Complete Book Of Sewing is always a favorite. Then there is Kenneth King and others who have various specialties.

Start a library of your favorites. Read, enjoy and learn. Believe it or not, sewing at your own pace can be relaxing!

PS - forgot to mention the Thread's Magazine DVDs. However, check with their customer service to be sure the DVDs are compatible with countries outside of North American.

SMAD not on this list!!!! Shouldn't it be added? Is it a PR exclusive?
