Date: 8/13/12 8:54 PM So this maternity dress pattern is longer than I need it. It's dragging the ground. I' ve noticed the front is 4 inches longer than the back and it's for the growing belly. I want the like length longer than where the lines are for the fold so i can't fold there. When i do fold how much extra length do i leave in front? Or do I just make it even? Or what do you recommend? Thank you! |

What pattern is it? That would help determine where you can fold up the extra length. |

How long do you want it? It looks like the skirt part should be fairly rectangular so you can draw a line perpendicular to the grainline halfway or so down the skirt. Fold up however much you want there. If it is a lot of length you can draw a couple of lines and fold up a little at each: one at the hip line, one at the knee, and one further down for example.
