Searching online for sewing patterns why can't I search by fabric type?

Or that it needs a fabric I've no chance of getting hold of/affording. Anyone else wish pattern companies would allow you to search patterns by recommend fabric type? Once you've sewn for a little bit, you know a lot about fabric, and so you can get away with substitutions.

It would also help us look at designs we otherwise didn't notice. I would like to take it a step further and have definitions for recommended fabrics such as "laundered cotton".
