Seriously thinking of selling my Juki F600 Embarrased but don't have space for FOUR machines

It was a great price and I'm buying it from a reputable dealer and someone I do regular business with, so I'll have all the support I need. I have a feather weight Janome for portability. I have a serger. I think I don't have space for the Juki F600 that I got a few months ago. I'm asking the store I purchased it from to sell it for me (they'll take a cut off). I think I'm doing the right thing to sell it. I don't need a third SM and as much as I love the features, I can't justify taking up more real estate for that machine. Am I crazy? Wait, I know I'm crazy to get myself into this position. But what should I do? HELP!

Those of us who can't say "been there done that" could fit on the proverbial head of a pin. ------ I heart Panzy, Pfaff Creative Performance, the sewing machine love of my life! Date: 8/19/12 12:24 PM This is a no brainer.. i LOVE no brainers... find a space to put that machine. .It doesn' t have to be out in the open all the time. I am giving you my best advise here.. In the future should you not bond with your new machine.. or should it break etc.. you will still have your juki. I keep posting this same advise.. but don't know how many members take it seriously.. NOTICE PLEASE the prices on machines are going UP.. and in the future who knows how much you will have to pay to replace that juki with a machine of comparable features..

Date: 8/19/12 2:14 PM I would actually just keep it , (since I don't feel only 3 machines is way too many at all) but then I have many, many machines and also collect antique ones too. Not everyone feels that way, or even likes that kind of thing at all. So, I'm probably a horrible bad influence and enabler in that manner too. So if you just feel it takes up too much space or such, or would really never use it, then part with it. But, as others have said, it does not in particular need to be out on a table top, and actually taking up table or counter space at all times either. It could just even sit in a closet, until you need it each time too. It's not all that big. But if you really want to be talked out of reasons to be parted with it, reasons why I think you could might still want to keep it: So you are hoop embroidering along in a big on going project on your MC11000SE, one that involves many hoopfuls of embroidery and how are you going to be sewing at the same time, since you can do that easy and just change thread, and switch out hoops on the MC11000SE, while actually constructing something on another machine, at the same time and would you not prefer to be doing that on that Juki, rather than the way lesser portable one? When your MC11000SE goes in for service once a year, which of those other two machines do you want to be sewing on during that time, each time? The Juki makes some pretty nice button holes that the MC11000SE does not. In particular that one that does the blanket stitch looking button hole and they are all very adjustable. It would probably be silly to some to keep a machine just for the buttonholes, (even though some people do) but if you were keeping it for some other reasons too, that might be kind of a bonus. With the Juki, you could do manual hand tapered satin stitch and satin stitch shapes, just more instinctively and intuitive, (and without thinking about it as much while doing it) by using the zig zag, and your fingers just turning the round stitch width dial there. Can't do that on the MC11000SE the same way, as it has no turn-able stitch width dials, and you would need to step up or down in width by your fingers touching the screen in increments, over and over again instead. That would be no big deal, (or even a consideration maybe) if you also still had some older 1950's machine, with a real metal thumb lever to do free tapered satin stitch, but you don't and you can do that on the Juki.

I just bought 2 Gidget folding sewing tables, very reasonably priced. You could get one of those and squeeze it in somewhere, or just set it up on as as needed basis. ------ Let's just say all modern sms are well represented in my studio.

Date: 8/19/12 4:50 PM There is an advertising expression that goes " Nothing sews like a Bernina, nothing". Most of us could tell you that nothing sews like a Juki, or a Pfaff or a Janome or Elna, etc. The phrase is born in the heart of the sewer not the brand of machine. What ever the machine is that you sew with and absolutely love is a gem and needs to be hung on to. Maybe you should give it some thought. Set a time line goal, Christmas or spring, it doesn't hurt to wait. In the mean time you might find great value in the fact that you did wait and maybe even changed your mind. Grace
