Need this adjustment after childbirth

This is probably a very basic question, but all of my fitting books are currently boxed up (we had to re-arrange the entire house to clear out our 2nd bedroom to convert it to our nursery).

Post-childbirth, my rear, um, protrudes a bit more than it used to. I'm down a bit below my pre-pregnancy weight, and my measurements (other than my nursing bust) are back where they used to be, but things around my rear/hips have re-proportioned themselves to give me a larger booty. It looks like I'll need to start making this adjustment in pants/skirts. Does anyone have a good tutorial for how to do so?

Thanks!

For skirts, I usually add a 1.25-inch wedge at the CB. I show how to do it in this blog post.

Colette Patterns has a pants fitting cheat sheet with lots of good information. Here's a link to the full seat adjustment.

I used do the same thing as Lynnelle, but now instead of slashing and spreading the pattern I just make a mark right above the center back seam for the amount of adjustment I need (usually about 1") and continue the crotch curve to meet this mark. I then draw a straight line towards the side seam from this mark for about 2", and then start angling my line downward, tapering to nothing at the side seam. This way I get the extra coverage I need at the center back but don't have to mess with straightening out the crotch curve and removing the extra from the side seams. Here is a quick sketch in case if you are having trouble visualizing it. For me it is just easier and quicker than slash and spread.

Thanks for those links -- a lot of great information there that I'm sure I'll make use of.

Thanks for the references--I'm going to need a bit of extra width back there now, too, so I think that the slash-and-spread method will probably work a bit better for me.

Thank you! I had an adorable baby girl. She's the baby pictured here (and in 90% of my Facebook posts these days):
