Viking emerald 183 Reviews Wanted

I see you are new here and welcome.. you might not know that we have sewing machine reviews already listed by brand and model on the review page that you can access at the left side of this page. Just click on the Sewing machine and serger reviews and when it brings you to the review page the brands are listed at the top of that page. There are many reviews for the 183 but only a couple of reviews for the Viking 203.

Alas. Well, just follow the directions the previous poster gave you--type "Emerald 183" or "Emerald 203" in the search box to the left, and from the pulldown menu, select "sm/serger." They'll come right up. I would caution you to pay attention to the recent reviews for these machines. I bought mine in 2008, and I ADORE it, but I think more recently there have been some issues with this model. Since you're considering a closeout from JoAnn, I would do your research and find out exactly what kind of support you can expect should you run into any problems with the machine. If you go for it, though, and luck out with a reliable unit, $399 is a FANTASTIC price for it! (Don't know anything about the 203; it came out after I bought my 183, and I love mine so much I won't even *look* at the 203 at my dealer! ) ------ ~Gem in the prairie
