This is a very old machine.

Baby Lock may be able to provide you will more information regarding the hoops, although the previous owner may have purchased these after market.

What I have been able to find out is that this machine has a maximum stitch out area of 4" x 4".

And, you will need a reader/writer unit and rewritable memory card in the format of this machine, which is probably .pes for loading designs onto the machne.

The best software (non-professional) would be Designer's Gallery (see the Baby Lock site for trials offers).

The least expensive would probably be Embird, who also has a demo.

All the software programs have the basic necessities, some are easier to use that others. Make sure your computer mets the requirements, which the software company should provide before purchase.

Ok that helps but what does the em2 means? And how about the PED-basic? Is it good to us too?

I do not know the meaning of the model em2. It may be inconsequential.

Or if PED Basic is compatible.

Yes, reader/writer/memory cards are still available.

Go to the baby lock website where you can send your question to them. They will be the best source for answering your questions.
