If I could find a fabric resistant to dust mite migration I could enclose the stuffing and just launder the covers. Anyone know where I might look for this fabric? Thanks.

Check out these ANTI-BED BUG SHEETS (Vermont Country Store isn't the only one who sells these). These are also anti-dust mite sheets. What if you sewed covers from these sheets? If you have to seal the seams, you could do that with a seam sealer that campers use for their tents and outer garments. Anything? j. -- Edited on 8/25/12 8:04 AM --

Hot water wash and high heat can kill them. I have an allergy to them but it is actually the dust mite poop that is the problem. As I understand it best results are achieved by ridding your home of carpet, drapes, and fabric upholstered furniture. Perfection is impossible.
