Janome owners out there, lets share about our machines, their quirks and their lovable aspects. I don't care if yours cost $89 or $10,000, Janomes are good to go! There are other threads specifically for the TOL machines, but how about questions, answers and other good stuff about our dear regular work-a-day Janomes! Quilters, garment sewers, crafters....why a Janome, and how has it helped your creativity? And if it is a 385.whatever model Kenmore, that's a Janome too!

I will start with my sewing area's family of Janomes: the Mini, the 115110 (previously known as the Kenmore 19110), the 8050 and now the MC6300P. I love 'em. They all share the horizontal feet and they all do a right good job - with the Mini being a crafters small model, and the 6300 being a heavier duty larger machine I wanted for FMQ.

Who loves their Janomes, eh?

Finally a Janome love thread. I've had my 10001 since 2004. I can't say enough good things about it. I have had one small problem with the needle threader. But I don't use it anymore or no more jams. I remember sewing clothes for my then 3 yr old daughter (she's soon to be 25) at the dining room table dreaming of having a sewing machine like this one day. With the sewing I it's all the machine I will ever need. It embroiders and sews beautifully. I've been in lust with the Horizon for the bigger harp size mostly. But not one in my future right now. And the 12000 I don't like the looks but if someone were to give me one I certainly wouldn't refuse it lol. I had always been a Singer girl in the past. But Janome converted me.

I am so going to love this thread.. at least Janomes are affordable to all. . Will list mine later.. Great machines loaded for the price.. I sure miss the Janome made Kenmores..
I really love the sweet sound of a Janome motor.. I can always tell when I am sewing on a Janome just by the sound..

I was in love with the Sears model embroidery machine the Ergo 3 I think it was it basically the same as the 9500 only it had a color screen and used the flash cards. And I loved the lavender color of it. Was all set to get it then circumstances changed and was able to buy the 10001.

Can we add Janome made Elnas in on this because I am sure head over heals for my new Elna 720. It's just the best ever.

I no longer am a Janome owner but I can say I LOVED my MC4000 and 6600P! Those two machines were work horses! The 4000 had the best needle piercing power of any Janome I owned. Hope you all enjoy your Janomes!

This will be fun fun fun post...
My kids are mechanical..........
My first Janome is my Hello Kitty Kate green... she is so so cute & has tried to do whatever I have asked her to do... She is not for heavy duty sewing as I found out.. but lovely buttonholes, easy to move around, & has a nice stitch.
Janome 2212 my Bogie is a sturdy guy too, also mechanical. He is very good at quilting, crafting & garment sewing too. I am using him most of the time now... I don't know he just makes me smile. ; )
Kenmore 24 stitch a sturdy guy too, excellent 4 step buttonholes & extra lift too. Primarily now he is used for buttonholes & some mending .
Kenmore 16321 Deano, some very nice features. And though I have not used him very much he is really good on bad feet days as he has the start/stop feature & slower speed... this is his main purpose so I can continue to sew on problem days if I want to.

Those are all so far.......

I just got this 442 on CL. I think it's a great machine. It only does a straight stitch, BUT a perfect one at that. She's really pretty also. I'm really into the sleek uncomplicated look of this machine.

AND it's a QUIET sound...:) I do love that quietness...makes it a possibility to listen to audio books and or music!

quiltingwolf - I bet you have gotten good use out of that beautiful 10001! What a pretty machine..:)

GraceSews - Oh boy - I thought about adding Elnas and it is DONE!I have a great Elan - the 2100 - bottom line of the line and SOooo nice - pretty and fun. Takes the vertical feet of course, but so far the tricot foot is one that will fit both types of feet.
