It's a very nice and simple machine. For me, I know I would get tired of pushing down to make the needle go. I prefer the foot peddle because my hands are busy doing something else.

It is a gorgeous looking machine, tho'.

Bet it would be quiet. This is an excellent idea, a sewing machine fashioned for every room. I'll take this one for the den which has mostly Danish modern furnishings.

Beautiful machine, but I agree - not sure how pushing down on the left side would work for me. My left hand is usually busy lining up the fabric or fluffing it out of the way in back.

On the other hand, it does seem geared toward those who don't sew - the link shows bits of normal machines with comments of "confusing" and "inconvenient".

Ah, a sculpture that sews! Or does it? Where is the bobbin? Is it a chain stitcher? Or does it attack the fabric from 2 sides rather than top & bottom? Guess I'll have to break dwon and visit the site.

Let's just say all modern sms are well represented in my studio.

OK, maybe it is just the engineer in me, but I can't pass judgement on this design until I see the INSIDES of it. I'm very much a function-before-form type of gal.

The video on the link is cute - I like that she has a display that shows the insides of the machine.

Pretty.

I saw this machine on FB earlier today. It looks very interesting. Thanks for providing more info.

It appears that they took a "shot" at Bernina in the ad. Shame on them....They could have showcased their concept machine without putting down another brand.

I was thinking the same thing. If I have to press on the left, how will I keep from obstructing the fabric from moving through?

On the other hand, I would take that harp space all day long THAT, would be handy.

I noticed the video showed the mechanics of it, but I must not be clued into Bernina culture--I didn't notice any slam of Bernina (particularly). But I freely admit I could easily have missed it.
