But I just had the most wonderful time out on my patio. I'm just filled with joy at the moment...

SS... you posted about The Quilt Show online...
I was at my desk... decided to "tune in" to the freebie show they offer... and just started to really enjoy it in the first 3 minutes!
I packed up my laptop, external speaker, grabbed a new quilting book (I just bought yesterday) just in case the show got boring (I tend to multi-task! lol) ... a cup of coffee in one of my "feel good" mugs (silly, I know) ... and grabbed my iPad, too (just in case there was something note-worthy).
O.M.G. This was ***such*** a nice way to spend an hour or two this morning! I can't tell you how much I appreciate seeing your post first thing this morning.
(I had wanted to go fishing... but when I got up at 4:30 AM to leave for the lake at 5... dang... the wind was whippin'... and there was no way it was worth draggin' the boat out, etc!)
So I went back to bed... got up at the crack of 8:30... lol (I never sleep in!) ... and then found all this joy this morning.
I just want you to know how positively you impacted another little corner of the world today... thank you so much.
If you're ever in Denver... dinner is on me.

On my radar someday: Babylock Serger, and some machine for travel.
My dearest wish is to have Bernina come out with a machine that doesn't give me a reason to *not* buy it.

Date: 9/1/12 2:47 PM I love the quilt show - I also love qnntv.com -- both offer a pretty cheap membership.
qnntv have a few diff shows that come with the subscription. I think up to 1000 videos are free witht qnntv.com
I sit and sew and watch videos like this all day long whenever I can! ------ Drag queen quilter! |

Date: 9/1/12 3:58 PM Does not sound sappy to me. There is nothing better than being able to relax and enjoy at home.
...and you know what the good things are and seem to have your priorities straight.
Personally, I love a good relax at home and being fortunate to have the tools I love to do that. |

Date: 9/1/12 5:48 PM First of all, two of the happiest years of my life were spent in Denver, and I would love to live in Colorado again when DH retires, so it was lovely to see your back yard.
Secondly, I don't blame you for feeling so happy. Quilting makes me happy, too. I went to sleep planning a quilt - I bought two matching layer cakes on a wonderful sale, and it occurred to me how to use them in a quilt and that is how I fell asleep. Not that I can do it soon, I am in the middle of three different ones at the moment and even I am not going to go for four.
Third - I used to fish with my late father and spent many happy hours doing it, and I was glad to be reminded to think of that. However, I am not getting up at 4:30 for anything, but I admire people who do. ------ Barb |

Date: 9/3/12 0:23 AM OMG sorry I'm just seeing this! You are quite welcome. Did you see the Sally Collins video?? It's just a great place for all things quilting, so glad this made your day! Oh, and nothing silly about a feel good mug. I cant wait till we get our patio done, with a screen porch and ceiling fan. I plan to spend many a weekend morning out there with my iPad and coffee in my feel good mug!!
