Annieq had some for sale her in classified (she has an ad for Octobre right now too) and I bought two issues.

I lived in Spain for an extended time during my 20's and this has been a trip back home for me. It has a few ads and everything is in Spanish including the directions.

I LOVE the styles and will be able to use a lot of the patterns.

Now I have to figure out how to afford a subscription! I guess my new tagline will be "will sew for Patrones" ...

I also love Patrones, probably my favorite European sewing magazine. I was so disappointed at their enormous price hike a couple of years ago.

Is there a direct link to Patrones? I'm not getting it on the web.

One of the frustrating quirks of Patrones is their minimal online presence.

Here's the official website:

RBA Revistas : Patrones

Thankfully, several bloggers are subscribers and can provide you with a preview. They don't have a page of line drawings like in Burdastyle's At-A-Glance page, but they do put the photos at the beginning.

Check out the following bloggers:

Fehr Trade

Homemade Couture

The Curious Kiwi

Miss Celie's Pants

I hope they continue to do well as a company; I love their magazine.

I read last week that many Spaniards were pulling their money of the banks and leaving the country. I don't know anyone who lives there right now and have no idea if the story is true.

Yeah, what is the deal with their site?

I, too, wish that their subscription price wasn't so high. If it was comparable in price to Burda then I totally would subscribe. I hate having to pick and choose individual issues since I end up stressing about that one issue that I covet but invariably can't find. I am way too obsessive already, I don't need to feed that monster.

That's why I got a subscription for Burda back in the 1997 when one month they ran out at the bookstore and I couldn't get ahold of that issue until 2008. That's why I keep subscribing even through their lousy phases. Scarred for life LOL
