I am going to Susan K Lace class and I am very excited, but I looked at the price of lace and for someone who has never sewn with lace, I cannot see spending 100. a yard on fabric, has anyone taking this class and would it be ok if I purchased lace alot less expensive, All I can pictures is me cutting the material wrong or something. This is a learning class for me I don't really need to finish anything,
Thank you
Holly

I certainly would not spend $100/yard to PRACTICE on.

I haven't heard of the American Sewing Expo. I just googled and it appears to be different from the one I went to in Cleveland earlier this year. Do you know is it always in Michigan?

As far as I know it is held there every year, This is my first time, almost had to cancel but things worked out for me, Look up Amerisansewingexpo.com. I am taking that one plus the one with KK and a couple other classes, It should be alot of fun.
