I hope someone can help! I just finished making 8 boxed outdoor cushion covers. As I was finishing the chaise -cover, the slider on the upholstery zipper (about 55 inches long and already attached) pulled off! I spent a long time trying to put it back on, but have not been successful. Can anyone suggest a solution, a tool or tip to reattach the slider, or do I have to rip the seams and put in a new zipper?
This 'accident ' happened in seconds, and I was almost finished with the project!
Thanks for any help someone can offer.

You can get the slider back on with out ripping and re-sewing.

You will need pliers and a flat end screw driver to open the slider. Position the slider back on the zipper, making sure it connects the teeth as it moves and then the press (as in pressure) back into place with the pliers. so it does not come off again.

I just wanted to thank you, again. After working with it for some time, I was able to put the slider back on, and nearly finish the cushion cover. I appeciate your timely help.
