Simplicity 4014, is lining needed ?

You might get by with a stable knit but not something really stretchy. You would need to finish the neck and sleeves somehow if you made the sleeveless. It could be done easily enough with bindings or making facings. A full slip will work but you will probably have to make one. They are hard to find in RTW. There were several threads that discussed slips a few months back.
