Date: 9/11/12 5:20 PM I'm finding so many patterns are calling for lining. If I wear a full slip in place of lining, will that work? Also, I would probably use a knit for the above dress.

Date: 9/11/12 9:35 PM That is not designed for a knit. You might get by with a stable knit but not something really stretchy. You would need to finish the neck and sleeves somehow if you made the sleeveless. It could be done easily enough with bindings or making facings. A full slip will work but you will probably have to make one. They are hard to find in RTW. There were several threads that discussed slips a few months back. |

It has a zipper in the back, so I got rid of the keyhole in the front.
I'll hem the sleeves, and the collar will finish the neckline.
