Date: 9/14/12 5:45 PM Hi,
Has anyone made an edible fruit arrangement....is anything done to the fruit to keep it from oozing...leaking...what ever you want to call it... I need to make one for my DGD's 9th birthday... Was just wondering how they keep the sliced fruit dry and fresh looking... Any thoughts would be helpful...
Thank you....

Date: 9/14/12 6:08 PM I've never made one but, now that you've brought it up, I want to! I found
THIS TUTE to get started.
Love to hear from someone who has made one. I'm wondering if you have to spritz it with something (like lemon water) to keep things from turning brown.
HERE'S my whole Google search.

Date: 9/14/12 10:56 PM You might get some inspiration here as well. There is a franchise in the Poconos, and I frequently see the company van out and about in my area.

Although the edible fruit arrangement was to be a surprise for my DGD...it turned out that she was to spend the weekend with us...so the surprise turned into a fun project...she wanted to make sure that all 13 girls coming to her B'day party would get fruit on a stick... We used cookie cutters to punch out designs with the cantelope and honeydew and free formed cutting flowers from the slices of pineapple...cookie cutters did not work well with the pineapple...grapes where stacked on the skewers and some had sour gummies in between a grape which did not hold up well...but the 9 yo wanted them that way... All in all we did a fanastic job on it...and she loved it.
I did find a ss Pandora fruit bowl charm for her bracelet as part of her birthday present and gave it to her at her party... She was thrilled with it... Now the making of the edible fruit arrangement memory lives on in ss...
Thanks again for the help...Cheryl ------ BabyLock Quest Plus, Pfaff Creative 7530, Janome 1600P, Kenmore 1030
