I got a box of these for my birthday from my kids. Has anyone used them and what do you recommend as far as needle. I have a Brother 1250D. Would I have to adjust tension at all?

I used some yesterday for some eye-pupils and it worked fine, however when I hit an area of the design that just had some plain straight stitching (like outlining) I had it break several times.

It is beautiful stuff and I want to be able to use it successfully.

Ooh.. interesting! I have never heard of this type of thread so I looked it up. Looking at them it seems to me one would need a metallic needle to use this thread.

I'm new to embroidery so I am not sure, but from what I know, I'd try a metallic needle for this type of thread. As for size ... uhm.. I wouldn't know.
