Sew something for someone who sews! We rarely get handmade gifts because people believe we will be critical or inspect it. Quite opposite of the truth, we will appreciate it more because we are well aware of the time and love that goes into it! ------ 61sew4fun |

To explain- 4" may stretch to 6" (50% stretch) but is it an easy stretch or a hard stretch?
When in doubt, rip it out.

Date: 9/15/12 3:51 PM This is Elona's Rule for Purchasing Something (based on long experience):
If you see a fabric or pattern you really, really love, but think it's too expensive, step back and ask, "A few years down the line, am I really, really going to kick myself in the butt for not buying this?"
If the answer is 'Yes,' buy it now, because next Tuesday it actually will be gone forever. |

Yeah, yeah, I’ve read the articles about sewing parties where the sewing ladies get together to “sip white wine” and work on sewing projects together. Aaaacckk!!!! Trust me on this, sharp pointy things that go up and down really fast near your fingers and those clever circular razor blades rolling along near your hands do not mix well with alcohol – even small amounts of alcohol.
When disaster strikes, STOP, put the project aside, and sleep on it.
Good sewing solutions rarely reveal themselves to you in the midst of your panic, aggravation, or tiredness. I have been astonished at the simple and effective solutions that are so clear to me when I awake the next morning.
