Date: 9/17/12 6:27 PM Years ago I bought some of this stuff and loved it. Perfect for interfacing a waistband and the front button plackets of shirts. I still have a scrap of it, but not the packaging so I don't know for sure what it was called. Pretty sure it was Pellon or another common brand, though.
It came prepackaged as a long strip - with long holes down the middle so it was easy to snip in half if you didn't want/need to double it (and very easy to fold over if you wanted both layers). I would like to have some to try making some fabric belts.
It should be hanging with the other packaged interfacing, but I've checked Hobby Lobby, Walmart, and JoAnn's (6 stores total) and none of them have it. Maybe it's no longer available?
If I knew what it was "officially" called, it would be easier to Google (or find on Amazon, etc.). |

Date: 9/17/12 6:29 PM I don't know where I got it, or the brand name, but I've used a lot of it. I bought several yards maybe only a year ago, so I suspect it's still available. |

Date: 9/17/12 6:45 PM Fuse and Fold. This may be a product that is more readily available in the UK, however.
If you have access one of the MegaChain craft and sewing stores (Joann's, Hancock's, Beverly's, Hobby Lobby, etc.), check the "notions by the yard" section.
Dritz does sell something called Perfect Waistline Maker which appears to have a perforated line down the middle, although you can't see that in the photos of the package (see this Dritz instructional PDF). This product does appear to be available on Amazon.

Date: 9/19/12 5:12 PM It may have been Dritz (I know it was a common brand), mine isn't fusible. And mine (I think) was in a flexible plastic sleeve, not the hard cardboard blister pack. But that may be because I bough it so long ago, lol.
I've seen the bolts of large interfacing at Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's, but didn't think that this would be by-the-yard. Thanks for the links, now I will have something to show someone at the store.
I may have to buy some on Amazon. Especially if I break down and get a serger (I've been eyeing the Brother 1034D for months). Although the Palmer-Pletch seems like a much better deal (6 yds for $6 vs 3 yds for $4, $6, or $10) |

IF (that's a big if) you do find waistband interfacing sold by the yard in a brick-and-mortar store, it will be on a roll, rather than a bolt, like this Etsy listing I just found, 10 yards for $8.
(I should check Etsy more often, I guess .)
ETA: There are some listings on eBay, too.
