Clothing fabrics are fabrics made to be washed and worn there is no reason not to use them in quilts.

All of these were scraps my grammy gave me. She is a legit hoarder. Her lives alone in an 8 bedroom farmhouse with a huge barn .. and there are trails through every room with stuff piled up over shoulders ... hidden secrets everywhere. I spent lots of time with her when I was young. She collectes and saves everything and doesnt use it and doesnt have a eventual plan for it and throwing things away or even giving them away give her extream panic attcks. Im suprised she was able to give me the things she gave me. Its just hard for her to. I love that she saves everything. When I was younger she let me decorate my apartments with stuff from her house a few times .. then she got nervous that I was not keeping the things she gave me... that stopped .. LOL

Great quilt! I love to use as many scraps in my quilts because I think they make a quilt sing! lol

I recommend visiting Bonnie Hunter's Quiltville Blog. She makes quilts from scraps and recycled men's cotton shirts. I think you would really like here quilts. They are super-pieced with a little OCD mixed in.

I love your fabrics! Fantastic color!! I have to laugh because my computer is ten years old and does not like the graphics heavy Blogher sites. They load slowly... and if you live in a community like those in Vermont - mostly rural - most folk have dial up internet. Luckily I have dsl but slow is my 'puter on a Pentium 4 2Gg Ram chip. I don't even own a smart phone!

Portland -

Your quilt is fabulous. The sprinkles of yellow and red in the quilt are marvelous. Please keep posting pictures of your work. You are inspiring me to finish ONE quilt.
