Hello Kitty not going into stitch right ??? Any ideas?
tgm and Kittys   Advanced Beginner WI USA Member since 3/8/10 Posts: 6951	Login to reply to this post Like this post Date: 9/18/12 3:53 PM I am making buttonholes with Hello Kitty Kate & it is not holding the stitch position consistently. 4 step buttonhole... step 1 will bump out into straight stitch.... step 3 will lock up. It has been very consistent making very good buttonholes ever since I got it brand new from DH for my birthday about 6 years ago. ............ Any ideas what is going on with that? ... Is there a way I can fix it? ........... Kinda annoying right in the middle of a buttonhole. .... then the next one she will do it okay but then the next one bumping out of the stitches again. What to do ? Thank you. oh yes this is on just plain cotton men's shirts. Thank you for the help. ------ I am a gal from Kalamazoo.... oh what a gal... smile.... And I will have the step 1 dialed in & it will start doing it correctly & then is bumping itself into the C straight stitch which is right next to step 1 of buttonhole while the knob remains on step 1. Step 3 will operate correctly just quits sometimes near the end of the buttonhole it is making. ............. I have removed buttonhole making foot & am doing them manually on the sm, but still can't figure out what is causing this & it is kinda irritating. I hope this explains it better. Thanks so much! I remember HK having a problem nearly 2 years ago from sewing on too heavy of fabric. She has not been the same since. I am so sorry to read she is not making good buttonholes now. I do not know what to tell you. I wanted to bump the topic up so others who have this machine or know more about them can help you. ------ Quilting is relaxing to me. My poor girl she is doing her best to sew & sew. ...... I gotta hand it to her we did finish 7 buttonholes today slow & steady & a few frustrating moments but sew them we did! What is weird is when straight stitching A, B , or C it does not go into any other stitch. Kinda weird. ??? Thank you for posting. ------ I am a gal from Kalamazoo.... oh what a gal... smile.... So that makes me happy! ........... Buttonhole functioning goofy up a bit .... but otherwise the shirts are good! Thank you for asking you guys... SMG $87 to check her out then repairs extra... Date: 9/27/12 9:59 AM Good news for Hello Kitty Kate !!! She is going to be heading to Michigan with us in a couple of weeks & has an appointment with Mr. Guy the SMG there! His rates are much better than we have & he can have her ready to come home by the end of the week when we come back. Way to go Mr. Guy! ........ Horray for Hello Kitty Kate!!! ............ now everyone think positive she can be repaired of her various ills for the $40 !!! ............. this makes me very happy! And on another note....... DH got the biggest compliment on the shirt I made......... MIL said gosh that is so nice where did you BUY it?!!!! Hee hee so happy cause I made it! Yup it was me! Very happy about that as MIL is very particular about home made things.... kinda fussy fussy........... so I am smiling about that too. ------ I am a gal from Kalamazoo.... oh what a gal... smile....
