So, as I suspected, there are new McCall's patterns. I was hoping they would be available at the end of the sale that just finished, but they held off until today.

Oh well. There's nothing much there that interests me anyhow.

I really like this dress.

And this one would make a pretty darling number for a high school dance or a New Year's Eve bash.

... nice to see a return to relatively normal poses, I guess, but unless my monitor needs adjusting, that poor model's rocking a Snookie-tastic spray tan. So orange. Yikes.

I might buy the bag pattern 6663. It feautres some Indian blanket fabrics, and I have lots in my stash, since I live in Oregon, near the Pendleton store.

My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since.

LOL, yes, she is pretty orange!

I am liking the long sleeve versions of McCall 6651 and 6656 is a pretty great coat pattern. What I do not need is another coat pattern though!

Almost $12 for a pattern for a scarf?

Nice sheer twirly skirts here for little girls, though view A with the straggly (and probably foot-entangling) streamers in the back looks like something that exploded and blew its guts out!

I actually like a few patterns in this release. Since this is there "Winter/Holiday" collection, I don't understand why there isn't more long sleeve options. There isn't a single completely long sleeved dress to be seen.

I like the colorblocked dress (6645) but I wouldn't use as many colors as they used. I like 6647 with the cut outs, but sadly it would never work for me. Even when I was much thinner I have always had some back fat that would show on those cut outs, lol. 6650 is definitely my favorite since I think it feels a bit retro.

What is with some of those odd patterns though? The giraffe and elephant patterns is cute, but I do not sew anything that lists "corrugated cardboard" as a notion. The jewelry pattern is quite baffling as well. :]

Don't I recognize these styles from the late seventies and early eighties. Remember when girls were peging their jeans to make them really tight around the ankle?

I remember, I bought a top just like this in the long sleeve version at the age of 17, to wear on my first date to a fancy restraunt in Dallas, TX. The waiter knowcked Thousand Island dressing all over it and it was white.

Most baffling of all is these felt jewellery patterns for $12. I guess view N you would need a template, although I'm pretty sure you could get something free or a tenth of the price on the internet, but view C for example is a felt rectangle with a button!

One woman. One sewing machine. One giant stack of fabric. What could possibly go wrong?

Meh. The toggle-front coat is probably the only one I'll buy. It reminds me of a coat I bought from Express almost 20 years ago. I loved that coat.

What D cup is going to wear this? D cups need some support somewhere and with those back cut-outs, I'm not seeing it.
