Here goes 1 more question on this pattern. Have sewn front to back at shoulders and sewn scarf to neckline, but am having a blank in my brain when it's comes to the (burrito) method or any other method to accomplish this. Have printed out Jalie's instructions from site and have instructions from one blog, but it's not sinking in. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this looks like a really nice top...even a U Tube showing would be great.

Thank you for your help.

Let me see if I can help or end up confusing you more.

In this situation the tortilla is the scarf. Lay the tortilla/scarf piece down on the table with the right side facing up. Next roll up the body of the shirt tightly up to the neckline. This is the filling for your burrito. Next close up the burrito pinning the long edges of the scarf piece together. At this point you should have the scarf piece with right sides together with the neck edge in between. The body of the shirt is stuffed inside. It'll be a long long burrito looking thing at this point.

If this looks right, you can sew one of the short end and the long length of the scarf. Leave one of the short end open to unstuff the burrito. After checking that you have all three edges sewn together (only 3, no more, no less), you can pull the filling out.

Here's a burrito method on a different pattern. Maybe it'll help you visualize.

I am so thankful for your thorough explanation. I worked on the top at my computer, reading and reading your notes. I had great success with it and am printing out your explanation for future use (alot of use as I plan on making this top alot). The instructions that were included with the pattern I feel needed a little more explanation, as I also read that many people also commented on that, so I don't feel that lost with not having to get it right away. Thank you also for taking the time to write the instructions so that I could understand them. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I hope someday that I'll be able to help you with a question.

You're so welcome Sunshine12242. My worst fear is that my essay of an explanation is going confuse and frustrate someone so much that they quit sewing. So happy to hear that this was not the case... this time.

Congratulations on the burrito... err top.
