I'd love to make this Burda pattern:

http://www.burdastyle.com/pattern_store/patterns/rouched-top-102012

But unfortunately I would have to do an FBA on it... but, how much? And where?

Some of the ease for a larger bust size would be handled in the gathers all up and down the front of the shirt... some would be in more room around... I am doubting my usual pivot and slide method will work here. Thoughts appreciated!

Make a normal fba, either leaving it as a dart or rotate the dart into the cf ruching. Amount depends on the size you choose and how large your bust is. I choose my Burda size by my upper bust measurement and increase one size at the underarm. I figure my fba by subtracting the bust measurement of the pattern size from my bust measurement and dividing by two.

Ooh. I'd love to try rotating the dart into the ruching. Think I better try this on a "wearable muslin" fabric.

Thanks for the guidance!
