I am about to make Vogue 1254, and it calls for fusible nlyon knit interfacing in the bodice. When I look this up on the internet, I think it is the same thing as tricot interfacing, which mostly comes in polyester. Does it matter if I can't find nylon? What would be the difference and would I just be able to use a polyester tricot fusible interfacing? I have not used this kind of interfacing before. Thank you!

You should be able to use it. It would depend on the fabric you're using as well. But knit interfacing is the key if you're using knit fabric. You can always buy a small piece and test it on your garment fabric to make sure it has the feel you're looking for.

Almost no interfacing manufacturers make fusible knit interfacing from 100% Nylon these days. That is because nylon's melt point is low, and so your iron can melt it and leave holes if fused on too high a temperature. It seems like the pattern companies have not kept up on the "state-of-the-art" regarding Interfacings...since so many still specify "Fusible Nylon Knit"

The equivalent is Fusible Tricot made from Polyester...the nicest kinds have a tiny percentage of Lycra for added stretch recovery.
