European patterns with cut out dart

It has a dart that is cut out - the cutting line notches deeply into the side front. I've added seam allowances everywhere else - do I add them around the inside of the dart? Not sure if that makes sense! In other words - there are no seam allowances anywhere on a European pattern right? ------ Mary http://checkmatesystem.com

I think you may be over thinking this - you just stitch where the lines of the dart are, where you cut the fabric doesn't really matter that much unless your fabric is super thick. I usually just leave the "triangle" of fabric intact around the dart, and just cut it roughly in line with the side of the rest of the pattern piece. ------ www.fehrtrade.com

I've got to get the words "cutting line" out of my head when working with Burda/Patrones. Stitching line!!! Thanks for the replies; I'll just leave that triangle inside the dart's stitching lines. eta: I folded the pattern piece I had traced off and matched the stitching lines. Then it was easy to extend the cutting lines I had drawn so that the dart would look right when stitched closed.
