Hi Everyone!

Just checking to see if anyone has ordered the Tilt Table from Nancy's Notions. I am wondering if it is worth the price. Thanks so much!

Definitely not! I have mine on two boards my husband nailed together from his scraps. You could use books, magazines, whatever that tilts it at a height that is good for you. Tilting does ease the shoulders if you tend to sew for long periods of time. It also makes the sewing area more visible.

Just experiment with a few things before you plop down that much money.

Two rubber door stoppers work, too.

I use the rubber doorstops. I also purchased the smallest carpet pad I could and cut a piece to fit under the machine, with the doorstops in back. The carpet pad helps stabilize my machine when it is on the tilt. I found when sewing at higher speeds the machine's natural vibration caused it to scoot forward a bit when using the door stops.

You can use a sturdy binder. The size will determine the tilt, and the price is reasonable.

Tilt Table made from wood scraps. Just choose your height and the length of your machine. The small wooden rail at the bottom just keeps the machine from sliding off when really speeding along!
