Date: 10/8/12 10:39 AM Well, I am a foot fanatic of course, and although I have the various quilting feet for my Janome, and my Viking, I am wondering about these particular feet. I would love to hear people's experience with them, as I am not really an experienced quilter, and if these feet are good, and if the Little foot makes a better 1/4" stitch - well, I would of course buy these. Love to hear anything about them anyone has to say! ------ "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible."

Date: 10/8/12 12:18 PM I have not used these exact feet, but I have never used a plastic foot that I have liked. I get glare off the plastic and can't see a thing through them. YMMV, it might have to do with the way the lighting is set up. ------ Tess

Date: 10/8/12 7:28 PM I do like the plastic foot on the usual "darning or quilting foot" that my Janome has - it's the open toed version. I do love the very delicate stippling foot my Viking has (thanks to Betakin who told me about this) and the one my Janome has in the 4 piece quilting set, but the Big Foot does have an appeal, and although I have read something about that one, there seems not much on the users of the Little Foot. ------ "Be kind whenever possible. Date: 10/8/12 8:08 PM The little foot usually get reviews of 1.5-2 stars, the big foot gets 3-4 stars (out of 5) on some reviews-that may be why you see more on the big foot. |

Date: 10/8/12 8:25 PM I had the Big foot for my White Jeans Machine. I never really used it because that machine was horrible for quilting. I still may have it buried somewhere in my sewing room. To be quite honest, they are only good for those machine brands which do not manufacture quilting related feet for their machines. But I think that Janome makes a fantastic foot far better than these plastic ones. ------ Janome MC6600 Bernina 240 Juki MO735 Singer 201-2 Singer 221-1 Singer 15-91 |

Date: 10/8/12 8:28 PM Thanks Warbler - that's good to know since we probably have the same Janome feet! And since you have it somewhere and don't use it that tells me a lot! ------ "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible."

Date: 10/8/12 8:29 PM Really? Thanks for that info as well. I know - we probably all have a 1/4" foot or two for our machines, but you never know, and every new thing seems interesting! ------ "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible."

Date: 10/8/12 9:41 PM I use the Little Foot on my Janome machines. I prefer it to the ones from Janome with the "blade" down the edge of the foot. On mine, the blade rides along the feed dogs, and that bugs me--and makes me wonder if it will skew the seam allowance. I don't have that problem with my Little Foot (no edge guide). ------ Joe in New Albany, iN |

Date: 10/9/12 7:51 AM I have the Little Foot for quilting, but hardly use it. It is so narrow that I feel I have more control with the 1/4" Janome foot (took the blade off) on my Kenmore or by adjusting the needle position on my Pfaff.
But I think the Little Foot is very good for miniature quilting where the seam allowances can interfere with the next seam. |
