Here's an interesting tidbit I picked up from my Sewing Daily Newsletter:
"And here is a little known—but my new favorite—use for the walking foot: topstitching on knits. You no longer have to watch the knits creep and bunch as you topstitch seams, finish neck edges, or stitch up the hems. I learned this trick from Linda Lee of The Sewing Workshop and now can’t imagine working with knits without my walking foot." written by Rose Deboer.

Yes, the walking foot is a favorite of alot of sewists, me included. I make many knit garments and it is great to have. Glad you have discovered it.

I have a walking foot and have used it a few times. My Elna 5100 does a great job without it on MOST knits...but I will attach it if the knit is tricky to sew with the reg foot.
