want to add long sleeves B5749

Miss Fairchild   Advanced USA Member since 8/24/02 Posts: 7110	Login to reply to this post In reply to blessedtosew << Like this post Date: 10/9/12 8:11 AM If you really want to make this dress with longer sleeves, you could try making the dress with a kimono sleeve (which isn't set in, but is part of the dress) In order to do this, you would have to lower your armhole, draw a line, starting at the top of the cap (the shoulder part) down to where you want the sleeve to end (above the elbow, because once you get past the elbow there are more complications); in the area where you lowered the armhole, draw a line of the same distance. Then try it out as a muslin to see how it fits, and then you would probably have to add some more width to the underarm seam. Several people who made Vogue 1250 Reviews added long sleeves. Maybe reading some of those reviews could help you. That looks like a cute pattern. I have it but have not made it yet.
