Joann's has Vogue on sale for $3.99 today so I bought Vogue 8833 wrap top. I love wrap tops and this has the individual cup sizes which I think is great. I noticed no one has sewn it yet so I'm anxious to make the long sleeve version for this winter.Vogue 8833

I have been kind of on a pattern fast so did not go to the sale. This is cute. Also with one of my new rules - buy patterns with multi-cup sizes. Hope you like it.

I got that pattern too. I made a short-sleeved wrap top this summer and love it.
What fabric are you thinking about using?

PattyE...post a picture of the top. Would love to see it! I'm not sure what fabric to use. What did you use?

I should have said I JUST got that pattern too. Sorry for the confusion. :(
The wrap top I made was McCalls 6564...very similar to the Vogue but I still want to make the Vogue.

I think that top would be beautiful in a crisp (maybe stretch?) cotton sateen--some deep rich color.Or the bright white shown on the illustration.

That top is very cute and I am on my way to Joann's anyway to get some lining...

I'm just wondering if the tie will be too bulky under jackets in the winter? My office is always cold so I have to wear a jacket or cardigan.

Couldn't you eliminate the tie and put in a button closure instead? Or you could make the tie much, much tinier (maybe do a hidden snap for security and a skinny bias tube for the ties). I sort of like that idea--I'm a person who doesn't like to fuss with my clothes while I'm wearing them (afraid the wrap would come undone), plus I'd never know how to tie a big tie like that so it looked right... too much drama than I want in my clothes! LOL

That is cute! Wonder if I could do an FBA on that one and make it work. At least I wouldn't have to learn how to sew knits first...
