Burda Wrap Top Download What are these pattern pieces?

They are never mentioned in the cutting or sewing instructions and appear to be a peplum, which you can see from the pattern, doesn't exist. ------ Barb "I have not failed. The bodice pieces aren't nearly long enough to create the wrap around the waist. Those peplum-like pieces must make the ties some how. It does look strange. Good luck.

Measurements are given. All I can think is that there is another version of this top somewhere that would include some sort of peplum. I think I recognized them among the pieces that belong to the next pattern in the magazine, this cardigan (pattern # 122): Looks like you got a bonus, lol! You can make that cardigan, too! But it was just a different permutation of the pattern I had wanted, I think it was the dress version of the top. So it was 2 patterns for the price of one, better than a poke in the eye with a blunt stick, as they say in Oz. ;) I guess it simplifies things for Burda with their inventory, so they don't mind. ------ Taking in is happier than letting out. I see a bodice front and back (1 and 2), a sleeve (3), and the shirt front and back (4 and 5). The bodice pieces aren't long enough or wide enough to make the wrap, and those large angled pieces look just right for that (I'm working on a shirt right now whose pattern pieces look very similar to these 5). The only thing that stumps me is you say they're not mentioned in the instructions. Was there another set of printouts that DOES have the bottom section of the shirt, and IS in the instructions? Otherwise, what are you supposed to use for that? ------ ~Gem in the prairie

For example, this girls' shirt 147A has a note at teh end of the description: "Note: This is the same pattern PDF as the Drawstring Long Shirt and the Ruffle Blouse"
