soft hook and loop tape Need to make some adaptive clothing.

She has recently been diagnosed with ALS and has lost a lot of fine motor ability. She still can dress herself but can't button the small buttons on most blouses. She sent me some of her favorites blouses to adapt. I want to use te soft hook and loop tape and want to know a good source. The stiff stuff you find a Joann's just won't do. That is softer than regular Velco and I've used it for diapers. She will want to close the blouses before washing so that the hook side doesn't catch on other clothes and tear them or fill up with lint which makes it looks its "stick". If it does, you can take a metal tooth comb and brush out the link to make it stick together again. ------ Paula sewpaula.blogspot.com If I were a sewing machine, all I would have to do is lift up my foot and all my tension would be gone.

I got narrower velcro on ebay. Here is a site with black in 1/2" width. You have to buy the hook side and the loop side separately here. Ebay Velcro Best wishes to you both.

It seems softer than the Velcro brand to me. It comes in red, blue, black, pink, white--that's all I bought so I don't remember if they had other colors. It's 3/4" by 24". ------ Thank you Lord for my Mother who taught me the joy of sewing.
