Just before I went on vacation in August I saw an Arrow Sewnatra sewing cabinet on Craigslist for $50. I contacted the seller, and after several back-and-forths, he said he would hold it for me. He wasn't in a rush, and said he had other potential buyers who would wait to see if I would not take it. I couldn't wait to get back to pick it up.

Of course, when I got back, he told me someone called and said "I'm on vacation, but my friend will come and pick it up today." Some nasty person pretending to be me! He apologized profusely- said his wife got a bad feeling about this woman, and told him (after the fact) that he probably sold to the wrong buyer. I was so upset...looked on Craigslist and saw this fake "me" selling the cabinet for $200. And worse, I found myself obsessing over this
creep...

Fast foward to yesterday: my neighbor across the street is having a yard sale. I roam around and see a small old dining room buffet cabinet, already stripped, waiting for a paint job. I keep going back to it. One drawer is out, She has a sewing basket that fits into it- it looks like
a wicker insert, filled with sewing notions. Finally decide to ask the
price,, and she tells me to just take it! She remembers that my daughter and I donated some toys at her last garage sale (I barely remembered). And when I brought my friend over later, she even gave my friend some items, and told me her son would help me bring it upstairs to my
apartment today.

So, now I will have a sturdy cabinet with 3 doors and a large drawer that I can paint the color I want (in the spring), I can leave my Quartet on, and that I can put all my machines into when my daughter has company-for free. AND THE SEWNATRA CABINET IS *STILL* LISTED ON CRAIGSLIST!

I'm happy!

Wow, the karma fairies were working overtime in your case, weren't they? I admit I yelled (quietly) "Yay!" out loud when I read your neighbor just flat out gave you the cabinet.

It's just gravy on the taters that the cabinet still hasn't sold :)

Karma has a funny way of working things out in the end.

Thanks for sharing your story!
