So, I volunteered to make 6 aprons for my Beaver Scouts for tonight (I volunteered last night), and was asked to do a dozen instead.

So - what did I do ?

I overslept !

And didn't get started until almost noon.

And somehow managed to finish all 12 at right about 6pm !

They're really basic kids aprons - not lined or anything.

Here is one of them (all 12 are the same).

Nice save!!!! Good for you. Now wine and a long soak in the tub. And chocolate.

You're an inspiration! In a bag right next to me is a bag with canvas to make 14 aprons for a market scene in a kids' play. I can't match your 6-hour record, but the story should reassure our costume committee head....

What a great mom and volunteer you are. I like how the number magically doubled too :-O

Great aprons! I can commiserate with you- somehow one scarf I was making for myself grew into a project for a group and paid orders for more!

Sauvage, I am very much paying for that 6-hour sprint of sewing yesterday !
My neck and shoulders are horribly sore.

But it was worth it ! The kids enjoyed the aprons.

I put my husband to work turning all 48 straps inside right for me, and even had him press some of them !

No way could I have gotten it all done without his help.

You did a great job. I don't think I could have gotten all those hems so even with perfect corners sewing so many at one time!

How adorable! Did you use a pattern? And if so, which one? Is that embroidery or a picture you transferred to the fabric and appliqued? Please share all the details!

I found the pattern online - I will share the link when I'm back at home.

The picture is an iron on - all 12 had the same picture.

I was impressed with my hems (yes I'm giving myself a pat on the back) because none were measured, pinned or pressed ! I didn't have the time to do them right.
