Could someone give me a good resource (preferably online) for wool (or wool blend) crepe in not your usual neutral colors? I am wanting to find some in more interesting colors like hot pink, bright yellow, lime green, orange, etc. Also, I am hoping for less than $20 per yard?
I found all kinds of lovely colors at B&J fabrics website, but $82 per yard is a bit steep for me, although it is lovely fabric.

I feel your pain! I love using wool crepe for sheath dresses so I am also in the process of hunting down something that isn't red, a neutral, or a dull, subdued color. I bought a vibrant royal purple crepe from Sawyer Brook last year, so you may want to stalk their new arrivals to see what's in stock. Occasionally Fabric Mart has an unusual color. I have had somewhat good luck with the selection at Mood. There is also Emma One Sock and Haberman Fabrics but I haven't tried them yet as they are a bit above my usual price range. I've found small independent sellers by googling the the color I want (ie "royal blue wool crepe fabric").

Thank you so much. Haberman's has a lot. It is about $23 per yard, a tad over what I was hoping for, but not too much.

Fishman's fabric may be another option.

I second PetitePear's suggestion! I bought some fire engine red wool crepe from Fabric.com this summer (for only $3/yard on a ridiculous sale), and it turned out to be lovely! Probably not as lovely as the $82/yard stuff... but it's BRIGHT RED. I'm pretty sure the color--and the fact that it's now harem pants!--distracts from any noticeable decrease in quality.

Seriously, I was very pleasantly surprised. It would have made a really pretty dress or pencil skirt or lightweight lined jacket. (Or that colorblocked red and cream dress you made... or was that a knit?)

ETA: I clicked on Pear's link. Why oh why?! That dark peacock blue is one of my favorite colors ever... and I'm on a fabric fast! Waaaah!

Mood

Mood fabrics has quite a few wool crepes in different colors for a good price.
