Date: 10/18/12 8:36 PM I was just wondering if anyone had bought anything from sewings.com in the past? They seem to stock a lot of silks at very reasonable prices and shipping costs. Are they a good internet company? |

Date: 10/19/12 1:38 AM I have used them for my silk organza. The first time I ordered I fund them on Ebay. Transaction was smooth and delivery was good.
In my package they had a nice note with information about their other website sewings.com ------ Scheri Manson

Do you remember their eBay name/ID/shop name, or whether their feedback was generally positive? I just want to know a bit more about them before making an order... |

Date: 10/21/12 4:47 PM Evil enabler! I haven't bought fabric online in months and months but I fell in love with the sequined peacock fabric on sewings.com. I have no idea what I'll make it into but I love peacock feathers and I've never seen anything like it. I'll let you all know how the order comes out. ------ http://theslapdashsewist.blogspot.com

Date: 10/31/12 7:52 PM Well, so far not so good. My fabric was shipped quickly and came within a reasonable time frame (9 days), considering it was coming from Hong Kong. Alas, it was completely different fabric. Stil in the same embroidered/sequined mesh family, but a completely different color and motif. *sigh* I've emailed them and asked them how it can be made right. I'll let you know their response. ------ http://theslapdashsewist.blogspot.com

Date: 11/6/12 11:46 PM Did you ever hear back? They have better prices than Dharma on a few things I need, but if I'm going to end up with whatever they toss in the box instead, it's worth the $5-10 not to have to deal with that. |

1 member likes this. Date: 4/3/13 5:02 PM I forgot to update! Sewings.com responded to my email pretty quickly and made it right. They allowed me to keep the wrong fabric rather than send it back (shipping would have made it not worth it, I think), and sent me the correct fabric with no hassle and no additional charges. The correct fabric was as represented on the website. I was very satisfied with their customer service. ------ http://theslapdashsewist.blogspot.com
