Need help finding a pattern

The slip would be easy. I just need a base to start the overlay with. Anyone seen a pattern for an overlay that's asymmetrical and perhaps has some of the interesting seaming? Or would it be too tricky to alter the slip pattern I use? this is the dress TIA
