Date: 10/19/12 9:43 AM I am having trouble with my walking foot. It has serrated feed dogs that are catching on quite a few types of fabrics. Knits currently a problem. Any tips? |

Date: 10/19/12 5:23 PM What brand of walking foot do you have, and how old is it? My two walking feet (Viking and a generic for a vintage Singer) handle knits without a problem. ------ The essence of life is statistical improbability on a colossal scale.

Date: 10/21/12 9:38 AM Just got out the original package and see that it says "Quilter's Presser Feet Kit". Came with 3 feet. Perhaps, I am now thinking, that is my problem. This foot is supposed to be for cottons only. I did first buy it when I was making quilts. Live and learn. 120.00 and it only works on cotton! I will investigate another type of walking foot with a smoother bottom. Anyone have a particular model that will work with a Viking 400 machine? |

Date: 10/21/12 10:10 AM the description from the Viking web site suggests reducing the pressure foot pressure to "3", if you haven't already done so. |
