Date: 10/20/12 10:42 PM Wow. So janome resurrected necchi..brother now packaging simplicity and now do you wonder if SVP will spin off some limited edition Riccar? It looks like they are creating a lower tier for themselves that will result in higher prices thru dealerships carrying the "elite" goods. Brother isn't even trying to disguise the simplicity machines. So which is it old new stock or new old stock! It does relieve dealers of direct online competition. Maybe necchi will be the new kenmore only better. |

Date: 10/21/12 4:16 AM Yep, I got the email about these new machines too..in fact I got 3 of em..all the same lol.
I think it is interesting that the Simplicity name is back in business. You know Simplicity (was/is) and Babylock are distributed by Tacony (as Elna used to be and Riccar was/is?).
With all the name changes in the sewing machine world, the different manufacturers, different countries and places of manufacturing, different distributors and distribution cents..if this was a human family, in the old days it would be called disfunctional lol, but in today's world..just an extended family lol. -- Edited on 10/21/12 4:31 AM -- |
