Embroidery / Sequin Embroidery Machine Apparatus Thingy

When I have more time in the future it is something that I'd like to get into, primarily beading. I happened upon this youtube clip and I'm entranced by this device. The poster claims you can stick it on any old machine, but what is it? I was under the impression you had to buy specialty machines in order to do this kind of work. Is this person being honest? Sequin / Embroidery Machine I'd also like to know from the more experienced members whether you suggest a tambour needle over a machine? Thanks in advance!

A quicky way of applying sequins, is to use strung sequins, you can outline or fill in with them, and use a zigzag machine to stitch them on. ------ My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since.

Do you know if there are any online tutorials showing how to use strung sequins? I haven't had much luck, most of the videos I find are hand sewn craft sequins.
