Anyone familiar with this site?

I just signed up there and downloaded her free Tulip Bud design as well as the resources. I really like the idea of piecing and quilting in the hoop and am ready to try it out.

I don't have the computerized design download capability on my machines, but some of those block designs are interesting.

I have to go back and read more when I am not working...curious about the piece in the hoop technique.

This whole concept looks interesting.

That is interesting. I love piecing so this method looks more time consuming even though its done on the embroidery module. Let us know what you think of it when you try it. :)

I also thought it looked a lot more time consuming, but maybe not if the designs are intricate, very curvy, etc.

This is about putting the finished blocks together. Since my free motions skills are pretty non-existent I've been quilting in the hoop since I got an embroidery machine. But doing a quilt all put together is cumbersome and a drag on the embroidery hoop.

I've seen that before when I was searching for info on quilt as you go. It just seems like a lot of trouble to me. I like the method of quilting as you go row by row a demo by Nancy Zieman. I was really pleased with the results. After I finish my current project. I'm making a lap quilt for a friend and am using the same method. There was a video of it on QNN but I was never able to find it again. This isn't the method where you have the whole batting and quilt block and stitch on row after row of the top, this is is putting on front, back and batting row by row.

Please post back after you have tried it out... I am very interested to hear about your experience and your thoughts. I have not seen this site before.

I have a pattern, but have not yet tried it. It was a Bernina club project, but I ended up having to miss the club meeting and haven't then tried it on my own. It does look interesting and fun. I have the Twisted Windmill pattern.

What got me started with the Piece in the Hoop business was one of the educational videos by Bernina, the Crazy Quilt demo.
I downloaded the design, converted it in ArtDesign and made my first block. I love how it looks!
Then I got the "Piece in the Hoop" book and cd and started making some of the designs there. It's just a lot of fun and it goes fast.
I like the process enough that I'd like to try making a small quilt just to see how do-able it would be.
