I have limited space in my sewing room but would like a table or cart for the serger so it is out and accessible all the time. What do you use for a small table for your serger?

I don't have any suggestions, but I am also interested to hear from others. I'd like a very small table for my serger that's sturdy. I sometimes use one of those foldable wooden TV trays because I can easily move it wherever I like, but it's not as sturdy as I would prefer.

I am no longer using this table because I now have 3 machines set up on an 8 foot table... but I was using an Over Bed Table from amazon (I don't know if I am allowed to link to that?). I got it for about 50 bucks with free shipping. And in my case, I actually do use that as a table over my bed. But I also used it for my serger table prior to the above set up and it was GREAT.

Super sturdy, adjustable up and down, rolls but has locking feet. And it is a great table for other uses too if you ever need or want it to be or if you ever change your serger set up.

I am sure you will get tons of great answer, just thought I would toss in what worked for me.

Stella - Serger Stylist II 14J250 (set up as main overlock)

Newest addition: Stevie, my very first Featherweight! (221 Centennial)

If you're looking for really compact, this vertical cube storage is what I use. It sits right next to my Singer cabinet which I use as my sewing table. I don't have dedicated room so I have to be really compact in my space. It's a pain but I prefer being able to leave my machines out.

I have something like this table that I got at the Goodwill for $15.00. It's compact & very stable.

I have the same thing that Beverly posted. Almost exactly! My husband added a second drop down extension on the other side. It's the perfect size for the serger. Got it free from his office!

Thank you for the ideas - my husband suggested a TV snack table, but I'm not sure it would be sturdy enough.

I use a $29 desk from Ikea (can't remember the model). Works great because it's not too big, but theres room for the fabric.

Before I gave away my serger, I used an old metal typing stand with fold-down extensions on either side. I got that in the early 80's, it came with a massive electric typewriter. Hmmm, wonder where the typewriter went? I got my first computer in the late 80's, I suppose I gave the typewriter away. Glad I kept the stand, though. It's been in the sewing area ever since.

My husband built a desktop for me and bolted it to the wall. Only problem is my serger danced on it. I found a rubberized place mat in a clearance bin somewhere for $1 that it now sits on. Fixed the problem.

If I didn't have that set-up, I probably would get a table top I saw at IKEA and add 4 legs. Total price (for the size I need) was like $50.
