Date: 10/29/12 6:24 PM Hello all, im new to this whole sewing thing. I had a Brother LS2000 and i learned a little bit on it but then ended up selling it because it was junk. so NOW im on the lookout for another sewing machine that is affordale. I want to stay under $100. I have been leaning more towards the Bother Heavy duty computerized machine. Anyone have any ideas on a good beginner sewing machine |

1 member likes this. Date: 10/29/12 6:42 PM Many times it is user error that turns machines into "junk".
There is nothing at this price but used that will fall into the "computerized" category. That is what "refurbished" is. Machines returned to a big box store.
Visit a Brother dealer and see what they have in the used department.
Once you decide on a sewing machine, learn to use the machine and then learn to sew.
It does not take very long to open the manual, sit down at the machine and then read and apply. Each page, each step and each feature from cover to cover. Going by just the pictures and graphics will only cause trouble and disappointment.
Many dealers offer lessons and classes.
