About a week ago, I accidentally tossed my boyfriend's luscious 100% merino wool sweater in the dryer. I feel terrible -- so I want to make him a new sweater or two. Surprisingly, I'm having trouble finding high-end sweater knit wools at a *relatively* reasonable price, but I'm confident I can figure that out.
What I can't find is a decent pattern for man's sweater. I found several Kwik Sews meant for jerseys/fleeces/stretch knits, but I'm looking for something suited to a sweater knit.
My question: Wouldn't any plain ol' t-shirt/loungewear shirt pattern do? Maybe in a slightly larger size than the measurements suggest, so it layers easily?
Could it be that simple? I hope so. (Bracing my self for ridiculous answers ... ask a stupid question, as they say...)
