I want to make this jacket out of denim, and not line it. Will I be OK to just finish (probably serge) the edges of the facings and try to catch the facings where ever possible with the topstitching, or is there something else I need to consider? The sleeve vents I was thinking of just turning the edges of the opening under & stitching them? I've never sewn a denim jacket before, and I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything I need to consider before I start on this one.

Thanks!

Christine
