Date: 11/4/12 4:32 PM Can anyone describe how to attach the cover stitch plate to a Juki MO 735? I am having a heck of a time. It does not snap into place as the instructions say and seems not to line up properly ... yet it looks exactly like the pictures showed in the manual and on line. I welcome any suggestions.
Thank you!

I just went and took pics of how it is done to explain it.. So let me see if I can explain. the part with the seam markings (on the overlock plate, these markings are vertical, and you stare at them as you serge and the cutoff goes down next to them) So when you coverstitch, the seam markings on the coverstitch plate are horizontal, the fabric edge runs next to it, like on a regular sewing machine.
Keep that in mind, and open the door and look how the overlock attaches, one tab toward the machine and one tab toward the door. Now if you position your coverstitch plate the same, (you will be able to see the seam markings on the coverstitch plate (they will be facing you) unlike the markings on the overlock plate (they are facing down.).
The tabs slide into the same spots. I hope this works. If not send me a personnal message and I will send the pictures. |

Date: 11/6/12 7:04 AM Thank you for your help! Those were very clear instructions. Nope. It almost attaches, but does not snap in as the instructions say it will. If I hold it in place and slide the cover panel shut, the motor does not engage. I wonder if the extension plate is warped? ... or if the plates are slightly different between HZL 300, 400, 600 and I have the wrong one? I bought the machine from Ken's Sewing Supply. Will call them and let you know what happens. Thank you again. |

Thank you for your help. I appreciate your responding. I was able to convince them they had sent me the wrong extension table and the replacement arrived today. It even clicks into place like the manual said it would. What a lovely sound!
Thank you again,
